Job Summary:
- Update the user journeys and redesign core steps of the workflow for a new kind of personal finance app.

Background:
I'm a solo founder of a personal finance app. My product makes it easier to have regular financial conversations with your partner (or check-ins with yourself). People often don't know what data to collect, how different areas of their finances relate with each other, and how to discuss it with their partner. The goal of the app is to streamline this process.

Core workflow:
- Submit personal finance data
- Review your data and compare vs. partner (or close friends).
- Plan for future and set goals
- Set reminder schedule

Current state:
Currently, the app is only a web-only -- no mobile app yet. By the time we start working together, I'll have completed a basic version of the workflow.

Problems:
1. The user journey when collaborating with a partner is complex. There is a very large amount of data that needs to be summarized thoughtfully, and the journey has multiple edge cases that need addressed.
2. The comparison and goal setting pages are particular challenges. There are multiple views of data that need to be displayed (or hidden).
3. Doing the design myself has been too slow and low quality. I'm looking for an experienced design partner to handle the user journeys and wireframes while I work on other activities such as coding and biz dev.

Desired Work Outcomes:
- Update the user journeys for the current app.
- Create wireframes and final designs which align to the journeys. All outputs should be provided via Figma.
- Provide recommendations for color schemes and theming.
- Meet regularly with me to discuss progress, ask questions, and make decisions.

Contract Duration:
- ~2-4 months of at least 20 hrs per week. Detailed estimates can be provided after a review period.

Contracting Process:
- I will select a handful of qualified people to interview for 1 hour. This interview will be focused on your work experience, and it'll be compensated at your typical hourly rate.
- If chosen after the interview, I'll provide a folder of documentation. After reviewing it, I'll look for a detailed estimate and work plan. Time spent creating the detailed estimate will also be compensated at your hourly rate.
- We'll negotiate on a contract work working together based on your detailed estimate. If we come to an agreement, we'll continue working together for the remainder of the contract barring extraordinary circumstances.

My Working Preferences:
- Willingness to challenge me: I'm looking for a teammate, not a yes-person. If something doesn't make sense to you or you disagree with an approach, I want to hear about it. I work best with people with opinionated people.
- Speed over perfection: I expect to rapidly iterate the product, so I strongly prefer quick delivery of satisfactory workflows and wireframes over pixel-perfect designs.

Desired Qualifications:
- B2C product design experience, particularly for small companies and 0-to-1 products.
- Experience integrating complex feature sets and data displays into a user-friendly experience - this is NOT landing page design
- Info architecture and data visualization experience
- Availability during US working hours is mandatory. US time zone is preferred.
- Fluent English. Native English strongly preferred.
- Figma experience. All designs should be provided in Figma.
- Nice to have: experience with sticking to Tailwind and/or standard component libraries when creating a design.

We are developing a hybrid office management platform. The project consist of three parts:

- A mobile app for employees, where the user can check in and check out at a given workday, can view his attendance log and can make reservations for meeting rooms.

- An admin webpage, where the users and meeting rooms can be added and removed, and the attendance logs and meeting room reservations can be checked.

- A backend that interacts with the database, returns data requested by the app and the webpage and validates and stores the data sent from them.

We have a proof of concept implementation, that we would like to be made production grade. The mobile app and the admin page are written in React Native. The mobile app was tested with Expo, the admin page in browsers.

Both implementations should be kept in React Native.
The console log errors should be resolved, even though the app is functioning properly.
As first priority inconsistencies and glitches in the UI design need to be addressed to enhance its overall appearance. Additionally, we are planning to incorporate graphs on the dashboard to display key metrics, such as the number of people in the office, those working remotely or absent, meeting room occupancy, and a visual representation of attendees (including profile images).
Android and iOS installers for the mobile app should be prepared.
The admin page should run only in a browser, served from a Docker container.
Basic authentication should be implemented for both the app and the admin page.

The backend is written in Rust (axum framework) with sqlite database.
Backend should only be changed to be consistent with the changes in the app/admin page. If no expertise in Rust, we can make needed changes as requested.

The repositories are in private repositories on gitlab, for which access will be granted. We prefer that the development is conducted in these repositories with a reasonable git history.

When developing the app, it is essential to prioritize modularity and expandability, ensuring that robust quality assurance measures are implemented.
