I’m a novelist with 10 published books. For my next book, I want to have a map of the small town featured in the book, along with layout sketch of the main character's house’s floorplan (it's a simple floorplan).

More details:

The whole story takes place in a tiny (fictional) town in the Colorado mountains, and most of the action takes place in one house over the course of five hours (it's a thriller). I already have very basic images for the town and house (see fig. 1 & 2). Using those as a basis, I want to give them some hand-drawn depth, some more personality.
