I'm the founder of ReSee Movies (@reseemovies on Instagram and Tiktok), and I'm launching a podcast where I meet with members of our movie loving community to discuss their film projects, and recommend some of their favorite films to our listeners. I plan to feature the podcast on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple, including video where possible. But I could really use help with some of the post-production!

Here's what I'm thinking:
- I'll record the conversations
- The interviews will be recorded in one continuous take, 30-60 minutes long
- I'll create a transfer link so you can download the footage

Then what I'd like for you to do is:
- Do some light cutting of the video (it will all be in one take, but maybe there are some parts we want to cut out, as well as some of the "umm"s and "ahh"s to make it sound more professional
- Add subtitles
- Create social media clips from podcast of snippets that we feel would be good for social media
- For the movie recommendations, edit together footage of the movie (like from the trailers, for example) so that there's visuals to accompany our recommendations
- Add an intro and an outro including some royalty-free music (I'll provide you with our animated logo to use in them)
- If you've got other ideas for how to make the podcast even better, I'd love to hear those as well!

We plan to release an episode every 1-2 weeks, so I'd need someone with fairly consistent availability, but we will do our best to record 2-3 episodes at a time so that it doesn't have to be a rush each week.

Your Role:
• Edit raw footage into polished Reels and short-form social content
• Color grade and stylize to elevate phone footage into something premium
• Create clean, modern pacing with attention to detail and vibe
• Add transitions, motion, or text overlays when it enhances the story

Project Overview
"Diaspora Now" is a new podcast series by the creator of FORGOTTEN LANDS dedicated to contemporary Caribbean art. Hosted by Dr. Dantaé Garee Elliott, this interview-based podcast will showcase artists, curators, entrepreneurs, and cultural bearers within the Caribbean diaspora.

We're looking for a passionate producer who can help bring this cultural project to life. Our goal is to create a high-quality audio experience that celebrates the vibrant voices of the Caribbean diaspora while engaging audiences interested in art, culture, and global identities.


Podcast Format & Structure
Style: Conversational interviews with a relaxed yet informative tone
Length: 45-60 minute episodes

Tentative Structure:
- Introduction (5 min): Host introduces podcast, theme, and guest
- Main Interview (30-40 min): In-depth conversation on guest's background, creative process, and cultural impact
- Language Compent (5-10 min): Something where we can talk about different words from our specific Caribbean dialects/languages, to keep it fun and lighthearted towards the end.
- Conclusion (5 min): Recap and closing remarks


Frequency: 1-2 episodes per month for initial 6-month season (so at least 6 episodes)
Season 1 Guests: Confirmed prominent figures in Caribbean art and culture including curators, artists, and designers.

Producer Responsibilities
- Audio recording setup and quality assurance
- Post-production editing and sound design
- Assistance with recording sessions (via Riverside.fm, Descript, or preferred tool)
- Working with editing tools
- Helping develop the podcast's audio identity
- Ensuring consistent quality across episodes

Timeline
- Pre-production: 1 month (finalize guest list, prepare materials)
- Production: 2-4 months (record and edit 6-12 episodes)
