Creative Brief for Krishna Mallorca – Marketing Material Design

Client Overview: Krishna Mallorca is a family-run chain of luxurious Indian restaurants across Mallorca with which 4Sight International has a very close personal relationship. With an ever-growing presence and a loyal clientele, Krishna is renowned for offering the finest Indian cuisine on the island, served in an atmosphere of elegance, warmth, and cultural authenticity. Each location combines opulence with a sense of traditional Indian hospitality, making every guest feel like part of the family. Their brand is rooted in heritage but boasts a modern flair that appeals to locals and international clientele seeking premium dining experiences.

Krishna’s branding is exquisite, using rich colours such as gold, red, orange, and black alongside traditional Indian design motifs and intricate patterns. Any new design work must remain consistent with this identity while also feeling fresh and captivating to new audiences.

Project Overview

The goal is to produce three high-impact marketing assets that reinforce Krishna’s luxurious brand image, promote its offerings to tourists and residents and reward loyal patrons. These assets are:

1. Promotional Poster

This poster will be displayed in the windows of bars, shops, and partner businesses across Mallorca. It must communicate the essence of Krishna: luxurious, welcoming, and serving the best Indian food on the island. The design should encapsulate everything the restaurant offers — from the elegant dining atmosphere and beautifully presented dishes to the warm service and cultural experience. The poster should blend traditional and modern Indian elements — think ornate patterns, mandalas, gold filigree, or temple-inspired borders contrasted with sleek, contemporary layouts and fonts.

It should include clear, enticing messaging (which we will provide later), Krishna’s logo and website, and potentially QR codes for directions, reservations, or a digital menu.

The design needs to be adaptable across various print sizes (A3, , A4 and A5) to ensure scalability and visual balance.

2. Double-Sided A5 Flyer

This flyer will be handed out in busy tourist areas and distributed to local businesses. One side should be an eye-catching introduction to Krishna — visually bold and instantly luxurious, showcasing key imagery of the restaurant interiors and food. The second side can carry a slightly more informative tone, highlighting the locations, unique selling points (authentic family recipes, premium ingredients, elegant ambience), and possibly a special promotion or call to action (e.g., "Show this flyer and enjoy a complimentary drink with your meal").

The design should maintain the same visual language as the poster, ensuring consistency in style and colour palette. The flyer must feel collectable and worth keeping, not disposable — something that reflects the high-end nature of the brand.

3. Exclusive Loyalty Card

This is a plastic card, the size of a standard bank card, designed for Krishna’s most valued customers. It should feel premium to the touch and visually reflect exclusivity and gratitude. The card must have a clean, luxurious design using Krishna’s core colours and patterns and incorporate space for a handwritten membership number — a blank bar or subtle box that can be written on with a pen.
This card is not for mass use but an invitation to a more intimate relationship with the brand. The design should suggest exclusivity and unique access, through subtle textural elements. It should feature the Krishna logo, a desired tagline or motto, and a slogan such as “Krishna Privilege Card”.

Design Tone & Direction

All materials must reflect Krishna’s brand identity: luxurious yet welcoming, elegant but never ostentatious. Inspiration should be drawn from both ancient Indian artistry and modern minimalism. Visual motifs may include gold mandalas, intricate henna patterns, traditional Indian arches, and paisley designs, balanced with clean typography and high-resolution imagery. Colour should be rich and warm — red, orange, and gold as hero tones, with black as a grounding accent.

The final designs must feel cohesive as a set, reinforcing Krishna's position as the most refined Indian restaurant experience in Mallorca. They should appeal to a discerning clientele while remaining accessible and inviting to new visitors curious about Indian cuisine.
