I'm looking for advice for a solution for an AI image generation tool and set-up.

My goal is to create *illustrated* portraits that are based on real photos of real people. I want the illustrated portraits to be in a pure black-and-white style of an engraving (as you'd see on a postage stamp) or a stipple illustration, or another pure black-and-white illustration style. See examples attached.

These illustrations must be a very good likeness of the person depicted in the photo. I want to be able to upload the photo and have the AI generate a illustration in the style described above.

I need to print (on paper, in a book) these illustrations in small scale -- about 1.5-2 inches in width at 300 dpi resolution.

As you probably know, while its pretty easy to get standard AI tools to make an illustrated image with a good likeness of a well-known, real (dead) person from history, (like Edgar Allan Poe), but it can be difficult to do so with other real people, especially those who are not well known.

I'd like to know if there are any existing tools that can do this for me. I've already tried several tools like Midjourney , Dall-E, OpenAI, etc. I've tried uploading images to MidJourney to create a model, but this isn't working so well.

(I've also tried using filters with Photoshop but this isn't providing the output I'm looking for.)

Are there any AI tools that provide the functionality I'm looking for? Would installing a local version of an AI tool afford me the functionality I need? If so, can you help spec-out the kind of graphics card and other hardware I'd need for such an application.
