I'm looking for an illustrator to help me create a map which will serve as a template / hand-out within an adult-learning programme.

## Purpose
The purpose of the map/template is to serve as a visual metaphor for participants' assumptions and presumptions about what the future will be and how society will get there.

In other words, this is a "map to the future you see".

## Elements
The map should contain three elements that appear from left-to-right:
1. A campfire, which represents the people who influence the participant's thinking about the future.

2. A river, or simple river system, which represents obstacles that lie in the path between the present and that future.

3. A mountain peak, which encapsulates the participant's expectation of what the future will be. In the workshop, I will ask them to name that mountain, e.g. "Mount Abundance".


Other elements can be placed wherever the illustrator seems most suitable:
4. A monster or two, representing the crises that we might encounter.
5. Gusts of wind (perhaps 2-4), representing the forces driving change.
6. A mine, representing discoveries that might be made.
7. The margins of the map, which represent assumptions. (It's important that the map has a border, so that this border can serve as a visual representation of the question: what might be missing from my picture?)

## Visual style
The template should look like a hand-drawn map, like a treasure map. It should be relatively clean and empty, so that there's ample white space where participants can write down their thoughts and ideas.

I need someone to create five (5) small illustrations for an academic research paper. They are very sketch-like and will only be about 1.5" in size each. We have a one-week turnaround time for this.

They will be for a computer science research paper on how to create a better version of virtual meeting software (think Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams). I’d like to get three separate quotes for an animated video explainer. There are three separate options, and we will go with what is the most cost-effective for our budget. The options and explainer are attached in a document.

We essentially want to copy this video, but make it more our style and on brand for us. Our brand is fun, playful, and incorporates a lot of hand drawn elements such as illustrations and scribbles, for example.

You can find our brand references at the bottom of this email to get an idea.

A general breakdown of what we’re after:

We are a commercial carpet cleaning business, primarily working with big commercial clients with city offices, and so we’d like to really incorporate this into the video by starting it with a close up of feet walking past a city street. Those feet then walk through a building door and onto carpet. The scene can then pan into the carpet fibres. See the attached image for reference.

The video then dives into steam cleaning, showing how carpet gets soiled, and resoiled because of the sticky residue left through steam cleaning. When it’s walked on after a clean, the sticky residue remains, allowing carpet to get even more dirty. This is the video on the left of my example.

The video will then dive into low moisture encapsulation. When carpets are soiled with dirt, low moisture encapsulation is a light spray of a solution, agitated through a machine, that ‘encapsulates’ dirt and crystallises it. This crystallisation breaks down dirt and debris into brittle bits that is simply vacuumed away, leaving no sticky residues that cause rapid resoiling. Our formula also contains ‘Polymer Protective Formula’, which is a polymer coating that’s left on the carpet fibres, and acts as a repellent to further protect carpets from dirt and stains.

There are other inclusions we would love to see at the end of the video to make it on brand and applicable to us, such as the references of a facility manager in the document attached. But this would be for options 1 and 2. Option 3 would be our most cost-effective, budget option. Disregard the voiceover references, as we will provide this. The best reference will be the ‘visual’ references in blue/green.

We’d like the hand drawn elements to be a bit more our style, and would really want to see those hand drawn elements moving and interacting frame by frame.

I need two illustrations, one is a Book Cover, and the other is a CD cover. These projects need to have some consistency between them as they are linked.

The Book is called “An Attitude of Beatitude: A New Pedagogy for Social Justice, Mercy and Compassion” and is a resource/book which includes 10 chapters, each of which consider one of Jesus’ Beatitudes as given in Matthew 5 classroom activities for secondary-level students.

The CD is a collection of songs which all have social justice themes, called “The Beatitude Table”. These songs are worship/church/liturgical compositions.

Ideally, I would like images for both that has some of the colouring included in the attached samples. I like the work of @saltandgoldcollection and @beaheart, especially the handlettering style, so consistent hand-lettered titles for both would be great, using a font that is resonant of the style in the samples..

Both covers should have a wooden table, circular, and eight circles of different “skin tone” colours to represent each of the Beatitudes, it would be great if you had some of the words below in calligraphy in the illustrations. The illustrations could potentially include bread, wine, salt, florals.

I have included some samples and ideas below. My preference would be that the style of the images is something like the work of Erica Tighe (beaheart.com) or Jessica of Salt and Gold collection.

This is a comedic story about a boy whose dream is to have a beard.

Here are the criteria for this specific book project:
• Sixteen (16) illustrations, approximately 16"x10"
• Illustrated in traditional mediums
• Will be a WORK FOR HIRE (no royalties) and we own the rights to the artwork
• Prior to creating the final illustrations, you will work with an editor to determine the characters, style and composition of the illustrations, including creating composition sketches.

In addition to compensation, you will be credited as the illustrator in/on the book. Once printed, we will also provide you with 5 copies of the printed book.

We prefer to structure compensation accordingly:

We are looking to elevate our photography and super 8 film with some upgraded branding illustrations. These illustrations will be for our website and logo and we’d love them to reflect us and our business. Our business is centred around capturing the slow shared moments of love, focusing on elopements, weddings, couples, families.

We’d like to have someone illustrate a number of things for our website - the illustration can absolutely be done on procreate (we don’t mean hand drawn on paper just to be super clear). Almost all the illustrations would be used in multiple places and could end up being very small (on a phone viewing our site) or larger on the site. Of course some more detailed ones will have a minimal size that they make sense at *and* generally we’d like them to be able to work very small as well as at larger sizes.

Some of the illustrations we want are just small little almost doodles of icons and maybe some essentially filler/non-specific doodles for around our site (see icons below). Other illustrations will have very specific briefs like “we want an illustration of Meg holding up a card, on a Zoom call on a laptop” and will be used for specific products and promotions.

Both one of those images we’d like illustrated as well as the icons we are looking to be illustrated in a similar style so there is a cohesive visual identity across the entire brand.

Also we have a set of old doodles that we had on our website had a texture to them which sorta made them look like they were done in whiteboard marker. I'm Michael and I'm looking for a designer to create an invitation for a birthday party to celebrate my 40th birthday together with a friend. Getting this invitation ready is actually quite urgent and I would really appreciate a quick turn around :).

Thomas and I have known each other for 35 years we were best friends during childhood. We are still very good friends today even though we live about 500km apart: He runs his family farm and I have moved to Berlin to pursue my career.

Two years ago I bought an old farm in the countryside very close to where I grew up. This is where the party will take place on the barn floor. We want it to be a low-key event meaning that there will be a DJ in the barn, a stretch tent outside the barn, a draft beer trailer, a food truck, some benches and standing tables for people. The biggest challenge will be that guests are really diverse: Family (parents, uncles, aunts, cousins; age: 20-70), neighbors (age 20-80), and, of course, friends. My group of friends is mostly urban: liberal, partly queer (I'm gay myself), interested in art, and so on. Thomas's friends are mostly from the countryside and more conservative but still open-minded enough to accept me for who I am. Our circles don’t overlap, meaning most of his friends don’t know me, and most of mine don’t know him – so having our faces on the invitation in some form would make sense.

I had several ideas for the invitations (inspired by playing around with AI):
1. The front page shows the farmhouse with the draft beer trailer and the tent in front of it, some string lights, balloons and/or confetti. I was unable to get Midjourney or another AI tool to create an image like this based on the actual farmhouse so people recognize it, but maybe you know a better tool to achieve this. A sketch/drawing (happy to provide examples) could also work. Our heads could be integrated as a picture. The back page would include details like location etc.

2. We use a picture of us in front of the main gate for the front page, maybe in the format of a polaroid, and add little icons or illustrations of the farm, a disco ball, a beer glas, a food truck etc. around it. The back would again include details like location etc.

These are just some thoughts, I would also be happy about any other suggestion! Upon agreeing to work together I will provide a bunch of pictures for inspo.

The party is in Germany and the text needs to be in German. Depending on the design and the available space I'm happy to provide a text.

Format: A6 with print on front and back
Timing: Ideally in the next two days, so happy to compromise in return for speed!
