- Workshop with our team to finalize functional and non-functional requirements
- High-level architecture and component breakdown
- Definition of metadata model, API contracts, and data flows

2. Core Sync Engine (Server & Service)
-Folder monitoring: real-time detection of file changes
- Versioning: assign unique identifiers, store metadata (path, timestamp, hash)
- Storage integration: upload/download to S3-compatible object store (e.g., MinIO)
- Metadata API: endpoints to query file/version lists and retrieve specific versions
- Security: TLS for all communications, authentication mechanism

3. Windows Shell Integration (Client)
- Virtual folder: register a sync root in Explorer with placeholder files
- On-demand hydration: download content when users open or “pin” files
- Status indicators: show sync state (cloud-only, syncing, available locally)
- Local changes: detect and push new or modified files back to the core engine

4. Testing & Documentation
- Unit and integration test suites for both components
- End-to-end validation scenarios
- Deployment guides, API reference, user installation manual

5. Handover & Support
- Source code repository with build scripts
- Knowledge transfer session(s)
- One month of post-delivery bug-fix support

Project Timeline

Provide a timeline structured roughly as:

- Requirements & design (1–2 weeks)
- Core engine development (3–4 weeks)
- Shell integration development (2–3 weeks)
- Testing, documentation, handover (1–2 weeks)

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven background building file-sync, backup, or versioning systems
- Expertise in Windows Shell integration (Cloud Files API, Virtual File System frameworks)
- Strong experience with object-store APIs (S3 or compatible)
- Solid knowledge of service/daemon development on Windows
- Familiarity with secure communication patterns (TLS, token-based auth)
- Excellent written and verbal English for documentation and reviews

Bonus:
- Cross-platform development experience (Linux/macOS)
- Prior work on enterprise sync products (similar like OneDrive, Dropbox, Nextcloud)

What You’ll Do:
• Source and screen senior-level software engineers (5+ years) with expertise in:
o Java, Golang, Python, C# (.NET), PHP and JavaScript
• Conduct pre-interviews and assess technical fit
• Present vetted candidates to our hiring partners
• Collaborate closely with our internal team throughout the hiring pipeline

What You Bring:
• Proven recruitment experience, ideally in the tech/startup space
• Strong network of developers and access to recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, etc.)
• Excellent spoken and written English skills — must be fluent and comfortable speaking in a neutral or American-like accent
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
• A results-driven mindset — your success = your earnings

Compensation:
• Base monthly retainer: $150
• Success bonus: $500–$1000 per successful hire (paid upon candidate placement)
