We are looking for an experienced backend developer to build the backend infrastructure for Frugal Feast, a mobile app that automatically aggregates and updates fast food coupons and deals using AI. The app will pull in deals from various sources, populate a database, and dynamically display offers to users based on their location and preferences. Additionally, the app will include an ad integration system for monetization.
We will provide a mockup of the app’s layout, but we need a developer to fully code the backend and create a functional MVP that can be uploaded to the App Store and Google Play. Key Responsibilities: • Develop a scalable backend using the most popular app development language (recommendation required from the developer). • Implement AI-powered data ingestion to collect and update fast food coupons/deals from multiple sources. • Develop a web scraping or information scraping solution to ensure we collect the most recent and active deals for our database. • Create a secure and efficient database to store and update deals dynamically. • Ensure real-time deal updates and optimize backend performance for speed and reliability. • Integrate an ad system (Google AdMob or similar) to monetize the app. • Work with Firebase or another push notification service to alert users about new deals. • Provide API endpoints for the frontend to access deal data efficiently. • Ensure the backend is scalable for future expansion and feature additions. • Provide basic documentation for the backend and database structure. Requirements: • Proven experience developing backends for mobile apps, preferably with AI and database-driven functionalities. • Expertise in Python (Django/FastAPI), Node.js (Express), or another relevant backend language (we are open to suggestions). • Experience with AI/data scraping techniques to pull in coupon/deal information. • Strong experience in web scraping or information scraping techniques to extract deals from various sources. • Strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase preferred). • Experience integrating Google AdMob or similar ad networks for app monetization. • Ability to collaborate with a frontend developer or provide API documentation. • Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, Firebase, etc.). • Familiarity with iOS/Android app store submission requirements (a plus). Deliverables: Fully functional backend with AI-powered deal aggregation. Secure, scalable database storing fast food deals. Web scraping solution for active deal retrieval. API documentation for frontend integration. Ad integration setup for monetization. Basic admin panel for deal management. Deployment-ready MVP for testing and launch. Timeline: • Timeline: MVP expected within 3-4 weeks with potential for future updates/long-term work. If you have experience building AI-driven backend solutions, scalable databases, and web scraping techniques for mobile apps, we’d love to hear from you! Please include past projects, estimated costs, and your preferred tech stack in your proposal. We will schedule a Zoom call to discuss further details and show mockups.

📌 Project Overview
I’m building a SaaS platform that allows users to upload their credit reports (PDFs) and automatically generate professional, legal-sounding dispute letters using AI (GPT-4 Turbo). The platform will include secure file handling, user accounts, an affiliate referral system, and Stripe integration for paywall-protected access. This is for individuals, credit repair companies, and affiliate marketers. I'm looking to work with a full-stack developer or small dev team to bring this idea to life. ✅ Key Features 1. PDF Upload & Credit Report Parsing Drag-and-drop interface for PDF uploads Extract credit report data (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) Identify negative items such as: Late payments Charge-offs Collections Bankruptcies Hard inquiries Use tools like pdfplumber, PyMuPDF, or OCR via Tesseract for scanned files 2. AI Dispute Letter Generation Use OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo API to write dispute letters Letters should reference: Metro 2 compliance 15 USC § (FCRA) CFPB lawsuits against credit bureaus Generate one paragraph per item with a lawyer-like tone 3. Stripe-Powered Paywall with Post-Payment Account Creation Users must select a plan and pay before creating an account Integrate Stripe Checkout for monthly, annual, or per-use options After successful payment: Redirect to account creation page Automatically create or verify user account Store subscription status in the database Restrict access to platform based on subscription status Use Stripe webhooks to revoke access if payment fails or subscription is canceled 4. User Account System & Access Control Email/password or Google login (Firebase Auth or Auth0) Welcome email sent on signup Encrypt sensitive data like name, address, DOB, and SSN Middleware to block access to dashboard unless account is “active” 5. Affiliate Referral System Each user gets a unique referral URL (e.g. yourdomain.com/?ref=username) If someone signs up and pays through that link, affiliate gets credited Track: Total clicks Signups Purchases or commissions earned Build a simple affiliate dashboard to show referral data and earnings Optional Stripe Connect for affiliate payouts 6. Email Notifications Use Postmark, SendGrid, or Resend for transactional emails Send automated emails for: Welcome message Upload confirmation Letter generation notice Payment receipts Affiliate referral success 7. Security Best Practices HTTPS and SSL encryption Secure file uploads and encrypted storage Automatically delete credit reports after a set period (e.g. 7 days) Encryption at rest and in transit 🧠 Ideal Tech Stack Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS Backend: Node.js with Express or Python with FastAPI AI Integration: OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo API Auth: Firebase Auth or Auth0 Database: Firestore, Supabase, or PostgreSQL File Storage: Firebase Storage or AWS S3 Payments: Stripe with webhook integration Emails: Postmark, Resend, or SendGrid 🧑💻 Who I’m Looking For Experienced full-stack developer or small dev team Solid background building secure SaaS apps Strong understanding of Stripe, authentication, and OpenAI APIs Familiarity with affiliate logic and referral systems Bonus: experience with credit reports, Metro 2 compliance, or FCRA 📦 Deliverables Fully functional MVP deployed on a custom domain Clean, responsive frontend with user dashboard Secure backend with account access and PDF handling AI letter generation engine integrated with credit parsing logic Stripe-powered paywall and subscription logic Referral engine and affiliate dashboard Documentation for scaling, handoff, or white labeling 💰 Budget & Timeline Target MVP completion: within 6–8 weeks 📬 To Apply, Please Include: Portfolio or examples of similar SaaS/web projects Stack you would use and why Description of how you’d build the affiliate + post-payment signup flow Estimated timeline and availability Whether you’re working solo or with a team
