I would like to have a custom study programmed in SierraChart ASCIL.
The goal is to use the SierraChart Swing Point Study as a starting point.
This study currently has a feature to extend swing points to future intersection with price.
This extension is a single line at the swing point high and low, as defined in the built in study.
The feature I want to add, if possible, is to make this extension into an "Extended Rectangle" instead of just a line.
The extended rectangle would extend the wick of the candle which made the high.
It would extend to the right until such time as price action exceeds the high, which is determined by the SG1 value in the Swing Study itself.
The same thing for the swing low, except the Low point of the rectangle would of course be defined by the SG2 value, and the extended rectangle would be the height of the wick on the candle that made the low.
The extended rectangle should use the configuration defaults set by the user in the tools menu or in the study itself, whichever is easier.
The screenshots demonstrate roughly what I have in mind.
I can provide further details if needed.
Note: The rectangles should be drawn for all of the swing points defined in the swing point study, going back to the beginning of the chart data.

Assuming this goes well, the project could lead to further work, including developing an autotrading system in SierraChart based on this custom study.
