We wanted to give you a heads-up about an upcoming change on Upwork that might affect your workflow. Upwork has announced that, starting August 20, they will no longer support RSS feeds. If you’ve been using RSS feeds to stay on top of job postings, it’s time to make a small tweak to keep those job opportunities rolling in smoothly!
What Upwork Says:
"We wanted to inform you that, beginning August 20, Upwork will no longer support RSS feeds. Because you’ve recently accessed an RSS feed, we want to give you ample notice to adjust your workflows accordingly.
To continue receiving real-time updates on jobs that match your interests, we recommend saving searches to your job feed. We appreciate your understanding, and will invest in additional new talent products and features with a singular goal: making it easier for you to find great work."
What This Means for You:
If You Don’t Use RSS Feeds:
No worries at all! This change won’t impact your Vollna experience. You can continue to enjoy seamless notifications and updates through our platform as usual.
If You Do Use RSS Feeds:
We recommend switching to our manual filter system to ensure you continue to receive notifications about new job postings. Vollna has got your back with a simple migration button to help you transition from RSS feeds to manual filters.
Important Note:
While our migration button makes switching easy, please remember that it won’t carry over any predefined attributes you’ve set up on the Upwork side. You’ll need to re-add those filter attributes to your Vollna filter to keep everything in sync.
How to Migrate to Manual Filter:
To ensure a smooth transition from RSS feeds to manual filters, follow these simple steps:
- Go to your Vollna dashboard.
- Navigate to the "Filters" section.
- Next to the filter that uses an RSS feed, click on "More" and select "Migrate to manual."
- In the popup, click on "Migrate."
