We’re looking for a skilled photographer + videographer to cover an exciting 2-day brand activation during the FIFA semifinals in New York City. Hi my name is Brennan, and I’m a pianist, producer and music teacher from Denver, CO, USA.
I’m launching my first solo project called “8 of Spades” this year, and I need help with graphics.

CONCEPT:
8 Of Spades is high-energy dancefloor Drum and Bass music.

I’d like to represent the project with a “Space Jam” or “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” style concept, where I am interacting or am in scenes with 1930’s rubber hose cartoon characters. First, with illustrations and photography, but I hope to have videos with animated characters in the future. In a world where so many music artists are using over-the-top AI-generated art with futuristic settings, wild geometry or high-fidelity sci-fi, I’d like to set myself apart by doing something simple, classy yet grungy.

The main Characters are the “8” and “The Spade”. These act as mascots for the brand. They have a rowdy, energetic nature. They should embody emotions that give energy. They represent the devil-on-my-shoulder telling me to “turn it up to 11”, “add more distortion”, or chant “louder and faster”.

The characters will not have facial expressions, so I’m using their body language, posture, and settings to convey the emotions or actions of the image.

WORK TO DO:
I need 4 different pieces that will be the artwork for my songs that will be released this year with the following titles: “Sound Go Woah”, “Love Like This”, “Start A Riot”, and “Anything You Can Do”. The artwork should be in a square aspect ratio.

I have mock-ups of what I am imagining. This should convey the simplicity of what I am for each single art. I'm new to illustrator so i've had trouble getting proper consistency, perspective and convincing highlights and shadows for the characters across all four pieces of art.

I’m happy to share the Adobe Illustrator files of these mock-ups or just the photos.

Apart from the Characters, some objects within the mock-up will need to be redrawn (ex. the basketball hoop in “Anything You Can Do” artwork, the table and table setting in “Love Like This”, the melting ice cube on the sign for “Start A Riot”)

The Font style used in my mock-ups are not final, I may change to a different font in the future.

The photos that I’ve taken do have a border to them from the shading or lighting in the photography studio that i would like “extended” or “removed” so that the setting or background appears convincing or cohesive. I do have a friend that can help extend the illusion of the infinity wall but if you are capable of doing that i'd rather all things done by one artist.

We're looking for a freelancer to produce a half-day shoot (approx. 5:30- 9:30pm) for an event we are running.
Deliverables will include approx. 20 photos and a 45-60s video. All rushes / raw files supplied.
